Thomas Reich (1826-1896)


Thomas Reich born November 22, 1826 in Germany. Both of his parents were born in Germany.

Thomas was a machinist.

In 1861 his family resided at 945 Kurtz St., Philadelphia, PA.

In 1880 the family resided in Philadelphia, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. At the time of Thomas' death he and his wife were residing at 1210 Deacon St., Philadelphia, PA.

Thomas died on July 2, 1896 at Philadelphia, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Burial date: 05 Jul 1896 at Greenwood Cemetery at Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

He married Sophia, last name unknown (b.15 Dec 1830, Germany and both of her parents born in Germany) d.22 Feb 1906 at Philadelphia, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Burial date:25 Feb 1906 at Philadelphia, Pa. Sophia emmigrated from Germany to the US in 1854.

i. May Reich, b.abt. 1861 at Philadelphia, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. May was a dressmaker.

ii. Sophia Reich, b. January 30, 1864 at Philadelphia, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Sophia was a dressmaker.She married Arthur Stall. They had children;Frederick Stall, Sophia Stall, and Arthur Stall. Residing 1900 census at Rochester City, Monroe, New York.

iii. William Reich, b. abt.1859 at Philadelphia, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. William was a Gilder.


iv. Emma Reich, b. abt 1874 at Philadelphia, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.Married; 1st: William ROLAND (children) 2nd: John HEAVEY, one son Jack HEAVEY of Oneonta, NY & Binghamton, NY.

v. John Reich, b. April 21, 1869 d. 12 Jan 1885 Philadelphia, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania of typhoid fever. Burial on 15 Jan 1885 at Greenmount Cemetery

vi. Johanna Reich, female, b. abt. 1856, Philadelphia, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Died on 27 Jun 1861 at Philadelphia, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Buried on 28 Jun 1861 at Odd Fellows Cemetery, Philadelphia, PA

NOTE: Odd Fellows Cemetery, Established March 24, 1849 at 23rd and Diamond Streets in Philadelphia, in 1951 the cemetery was acquired by the City of Philadelphia in order to build the Raymond Rosen Housing Development. Some of the graves were moved to the Memorial Park section of Lawnview Cemetery, in Rockledge, Montgomery County, Pennsylvania, and some were removed to Philadelphia's Mount Peace Cemetery.
