Edna Marshall was born in 1899 in Buffalo, New York to very well known parents. Her father was Edward Marshall, the famed writer/ journalist and her mother, the acclaimed and beautiful stage actress , Judith Berolde. After the death of her mother in 1904, Edna lived with her mother's brother, Emanuel Boasberg  and his wife and family in Buffalo, New York. Edna attended Wellesley College in Massachusetts where she was on the track team. Edna died on September 11, 1925. She is buried along side her mother in Forest Lawn Cemetery at Buffalo, Erie County, New York.
