"Eden - Mr. Ralph C. Yarbrough died on Monday, July 4, 2005. He was born in Daisy, GA and lived most of his life in Effingham County. He was a graduate of Commerical High School in Savannah and served in the Navy during World War II. He retired from Stone Container Company and was president and founder of the Ogeechee River Valley Association (ORVA) which has been very active in the clean-up and restoration of the Ogeechee River. Ralph is survived by his wife, Mary Myrick Yarbrough and former wife, Bernice Mock Yarbrough; five children and spouses, Gary Yarbrough and Ann, Marcia Cook Jordan and Sydney, Sue LaRussa Fair and Jim, Michael W. Yarbrough and Joan and Alan C. Yarbrough; brother, Hugh Donald Yarbrough; step-daughters, Gail Love Stalnaker and William Roy and Kaye Love; ten grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren. Visitation: 6-8 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home. Funeral: 11 a.m. on Thursday in the Chapel of the funeral home. Interment: Private.
